QA Technician

• Perform First Article Test (FAT ) and First Article Inspection (FAI )
• Handling measuring equipment such as Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), Smart Scope, Profile Projector and other small equipment (Vernier Caliper, Height Gauge, Dial Indicator, etc)
• Perform incoming inspection and evaluate disposition for IQA non-conforming defect
• Support RMA activities and assist failure analysis on customer returns
• Records QA inspection data into respective inspection report
• Perform inspection for raw material or bar stock
• Assist QA Engineer on the following:

                - Verifying of newly establish Inspection Plan

               - Highlight if any found discrepancies on part drawing

               - Recommend methods or techniques of inspection

• Perform inspection and create part programing for Coordinate Measuring Machine and Smart Scope
• Establish Part Inspection Standard on CMM for every part programing and conduct training to QA technician
• Provide support to Section Leader on planning for urgent jobs
• Liaise with Section in-charge for technical clarification
• Highlight issues to Section In-charge and seek help to solve the issues on daily basis
• Monitor proper maintenance and basic calibration of measuring equipment
• Undertake additional QA responsibilities as and when required

• Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ experience from a manufacturing industry, preferred experience in Optics industry
• Ability to understand procedures, drawings to carry out result recording
• Clear understanding of good documentation practices and quality system regulations and requirements
• Proficiency in general Microsoft application including MS Word & Excel
• Strong documentation, communication and interpersonal relationship skills
• Good leadership skills and ability to suggest change
• Knowledge of and adherence to quality system
• Substantial understanding of processes and equipment used in assigned work
• Using measurement equipment; Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), Smart Scope, Profile Projector, etc.
